What We Believe
A young child’s mind is rich, fertile ground eagerly waiting to be cultivated. The teachers and staff at RDS utilize every teachable moment whether it’s during calendar time, singing, scripture memory, dramatic play, chapel, or even snack time to plant seeds and cultivate a love of learning.
As with any new plant, care and nurture promotes healthy growth. RDS provides a safe, nurturing environment where social, emotional, and academic growth can occur. Children will bloom under the love and nurture of God’s truth and knowledge. A healthy plant will bear fruit, which is our ultimate goal as we anticipate the fruit of our labor, the works of service these little ones are preparing for in the future that lies ahead of them.
History
RDS, a ministry of Redeemer Presbyterian Church, began in 2006 as a response to the Biblical mandate to nurture and train covenant children. After prayer and research, a school board comprised of educators, (including private, public, and home school teachers) businessmen, and businesswomen was formed. Careful consideration was given to each aspect of RDS in hopes of reaching the goal of providing a Christ-centered preschool where children have a meaningful learning experience.
